Adjunct Professor of English, Business Communication & Creative Writing
Dr. Dascalu holds a Summa cum Laudae PhD in English from the University of Tulsa, USA where she was the recipient of teaching and research assistantships, a publication fellowship, and the Chapman Award and where she was on the board of James Joyce Quarterly and Tulsa Studies in Women’s Literature.
She also holds international Summa cum Laudae Masters of Arts degrees in Communication (winning the NAFSA Grant and PSU International Scholarship) and English (Teaching Assistantship; PSU International Scholarship) from Pittsburg State University, USA, as well as other postgraduate degrees, including European Studies at Central European University in Prague.
Dr. Dascalu’s honors and awards while in the States include being on the Dean’s National List, the Award for Excellence of Research, Scholarship and Teaching in the Department of Communication and Department of English, the Department of Foreign Languages Meritory Award (French), and the Wilson Scholarship.
Dr. Dascalu also holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, as well as a Diploma de Licenta de Merit, All A+ National Meritory Scholar (Summa cum Laudae, all 10) from Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Romania, and a Baccalaureate Degree from Colegiul National Stefan cel Mare of Tg. Neamt, Romania and she is also Post-Doctoral Epistemology Scholar with the Romanian Academy.
Dr. Dascălu has been the Vice Rector of International Affairs and Professor of Communication Studies, English, and Creative Writing at ULIM (Free International University of Moldova)
Dr. Dascălu is tenured Associated Professor of Communication Studies, English, and Creative Writing at Apollonia University of Iasi where she was Senate President in 2014, Main/Prime Vice Rector in between 2012-2014 while being Vice Rector of Research, Development and Innovation; Vice Rector of Community, Institutional, Inter-Institutional, Cross-University Cooperation and Socio Economic Vice Rector; and Vice Rector of International Relations, this cumuli of leadership positions being held in between 2012-2014 and a year before, in 2011, she was appointed Vice Rector of International Relations. In between 2009-2013, Dr. Cristina-Emanuela Dascălu was the Scientific Secretary of the Senate and Scientific Secretary of the Research Institute „Academician Ioan Haulică.” At the same university, Dr. Cristina-Emanuela Dascalu was the Adjunct Director for ILMA/ The Institute of Modern Languages and the Research Chancellor at “Acad. Ioan Hăulică” Socio-Human, Communication and Medicine Research Institute.

Dr. Cristina-Emanuela Dascălu has been on the advisory and editorial boards of several academic journals, including: Symposium: Theoretical and Applied Inquiries in Philosophy and Social Sciences
Since March 18, 2013 she has the rank of Professor of English, Communication, Creative Writing, Gender, Cultural and Area Studies at Swiss School of Management where she has also been responsible for the dual MBA program between Rome and Iasi.
